A Different Solution

LIFT has created an innovative model to build economies in low-income countries. By working with strong partners along the way, LIFT deploys investment capital to successful SMEs and with the income generated from these investments we offer career development programs to local unskilled workers. We provide growth capital for profitable businesses to hire more workers, earn more revenue and boost their economies while offering the working poor the opportunity to increase their earning potential into the future.

How do we do this? LIFT is all about partnerships. We co-invest in SMEs alongside our investment partners - successful investment firms in the region. For our career development programs, we provide tuition and other locally-relevant stipend support (childcare, transportation and textbooks) to unskilled workers to attend local high schools, vocational schools and colleges with strong reputations. We work with experts to magnify our impact.

Our model is financially sustainable - funded entirely through investment income - scalable and replicable. All that's needed in a given region are promising entrepreneurs and existing schools and LIFT can take off.
